All IEC holders are now legally required to update and validate their IEC Details, even if there are no changes, from April to June once every year through Online system, failing which their IEC shall be de-activated and no import or export activity will be possible. Following steps need to be follow for iec updation/modification.
Step 1: Logon to DGFT website via link https://dgft.gov.in/ (if don’t have username then create)
Step 2: Click on “Link IEC” and enter IEC Number and need to validate by Adhaar OTP or DSC.
Step 3: Once Linked, you can modify details in IEC like name and addreee, Branch detail, Director’s Details, Bank details, activity status like manufacture or merchant and any other required details
Step 4: Now you need to sign your modification application digitally via Adhar OTP or DSC.
Step 5: Make the Payment of Rs. 200/- online.
Step 6:- At Last, Print your updated IEC certificate.
